Short Term - Through End of November - Emergency Medicine Physician needed to provide services in a government owned facility located in the West Coast region of Virginia. This position is considered a Contract Health Care Professional (HCP) and will be required to meet all the necessary requirements of our U.S. Government. The standards of performance shall reflect a degree of care, skill, and learning expected of a reasonably prudent Emergency Medicine Physician.

Required Qualification:

  • Must meet the experience, training, and certification requirements for the appropriate level of emergency medical staff physician in accordance with government regulations.
  • Must have successfully completed an approved Emergency Medicine (EM) Residency program, and be board eligible/certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine.
  • Must possess a current certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Current ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certification is not required, however, successful completion of an ATLS course, with certification, at some point in the past is required.

Practice Description

All services shall be performed in accordance with established principles, practices, and ethics of the medical, and specialty professions/organizations. The standards of performance for all HCP provided by contractor shall reflect the degree of care, skill, and learning expected of a reasonably prudent Emergency Medicine Physician.
