We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to collaborate with our highly skilled GI Hematology and Oncology team.

Position Details:

  • Full Time
  • Days (Monday-Friday)
  • No Call
  • Primarily outpatient role
  • Key Responsibilities
    • Provide care in collaboration with physicians and other members of the gastrointestinal medical oncology team in the outpatient and/or clinical setting.
    • Maintain an advanced knowledge base and skills in health promotion and maintenance, disease prevention, physical and psychosocial assessment, and management of health and illness in the health care of individuals.
    • Develops treatment plans, conducts patient care conferences, orders and adjusts medications in consultation with the attending physicians. 
  • APP will see approximately 70 patients per week
  • The practice includes 46 physicians and 7 Advanced Practice Providers

The IU Health Simon Cancer Center is the only patient care cancer center in Indiana to receive the National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation, recognizing the facility for scientific excellence, discovery and development of more effective approaches to cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment, and educating healthcare professionals and the public

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Required
  • Oncology experience preferred 
  • Oncology subspecializing in GI is highly desired
