Full Time Opportunity in Central Florida

General Summary

The APRN or PA-C is responsible for

  • Performing physical examinations of  radiation oncology patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Assist with the survivorship clinic and collaborate with surgical oncology
  • Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests
  • Makes appropriate referral to physician or specialist
  • Collaborates with physician and staff to provide consistent care to patients
  • Conditions treated/managed include: 3-D conformal radiation therapy, accelerated partial-breast irradiation, high-dose rate brachytherapy, prostate seed implantation, radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiation therapy, image-guided radiation therapy and intensity-modulated radiation therapy to treat cancers of the head, neck, breasts and urologic system. 

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
  • See Radiation Oncology patients primarily within the clinic and hospital settings - covering Altamonte Springs and Kissimmee
  • Open to new graduates with relevant training or experience

Preferred Experience

  • 1-2 years experience in Oncology or Radiation Oncology as a provider
  • RN Experience in Oncology or Radiation
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish

Licensure and Certification

  • Florida APRN or PA license
  • ANCC or NCCPA certification (or equivalent)
  • BLS and ACLS
  • ONS Certification
