Carolinas HealthCare System in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a third BC/BE Pediatric Rheumatologist with experience in all aspects of clinical pediatric rheumatology. Candidates should be highly motivated to collaborate with members of the pediatric rheumatology team that includes two nurses, a social worker, dietician and physical therapist.  The position offers an outstanding opportunity to excel in the clinical, research, educational, quality improvement and community service functions of the Department of Pediatrics.

The Department of Pediatrics is affiliated with Levine Children’s Hospital, which opened in October, 2007, and is on the campus of the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.  Levine Children’s Hospital is the most comprehensive children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington, DC, providing opportunities for children and their families from the Charlotte region stay close to home for their medical care.  The facility is 12 floors with 234 patient beds.  It includes a 20-bed PICU and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, a 20-bed day hospital with an outpatient infusion center, a one-day surgery unit that accommodates joint injections with anesthesia, and an 85-bed NICU.
